How it works
-
Pick how you feel
Anxious, can’t sleep, need to focus — each feeling leads to a technique that fits.
-
Follow the dot
The line shows what’s coming. Breathe in as it rises, hold while it’s flat, let go as it falls.

Notice the difference

Nine ways to breathe
Cyclic Sighing
For stressful moments and quick resets
Inhale · Top-up · Long exhale
A deep breath in through the nose, a short top-up to fill completely, then a long, slow sigh out through the mouth. Many people find a few minutes of it leaves them calmer and lighter.
4-7-8 Breathing
For falling asleep
Inhale 4 · Hold 7 · Exhale 8
Breathe in for 4, hold for 7, and let it out slowly for 8. The long hold and longer exhale slow everything down before sleep.
Box Breathing
For focus and steady calm
Inhale 4 · Hold 4 · Exhale 4 · Hold 4
Four equal sides: in, hold, out, hold. An even rhythm that settles the mind and sharpens attention.
Resonant Breathing
For balance and calm
Inhale 5.5 · Exhale 5.5
Slow, even breaths at about five and a half a minute — the pace where heart and breath fall into rhythm.
Extended Exhale
For unwinding
Inhale 4 · Exhale 7
A comfortable breath in, then a longer breath out. Lengthening the out-breath tells your body it is safe to relax.
Taoist Breathing
Morning and evening practice
Inhale · Hold · 3 sips · Hold · Exhale
Breathe in and hold, then sip in three small breaths until you are full. Hold, then release slowly. Rest for a minute between rounds.
Humming Breath
For a busy mind
Inhale 4 · Hum out 8
Breathe in through your nose, then hum softly as you breathe out. The gentle buzz gives a busy mind something simple to rest on.
Alternate Nostril
For a clearer head
In left · Out right · In right · Out left
Close one nostril and breathe in through the other, then switch sides to breathe out. A slow, even rhythm that steadies attention.
Rising Breath
For a lift in energy
10 lively breaths · 3 slow breaths
A short burst of lively breathing, then a few slow breaths to land. Stop and breathe normally if you feel dizzy.
